Questions You May Have:

What is the Worship Service Like? Our services are traditional, with an emphasis on Biblical preaching. Our preachng focuses on careful study of the Scriptures which then challenges us to respond by growing in–and living out–Christ in our lives. Our music is simple, with congregational singing of a balance of both traditional hymns and newer hymns that direct our voices to sing together to our great Saviour. On occasion, we will have of a solo or group musical piece from a member (or members) of the congregation.

What should I wear? Sometimes people wonder what they should wear to church. We want the focus to be on God and not about what you are wearing, so wear whatever you’d like! In general, you will find that our church is a blend of causual and professional dress on a Sunday morning, and casual during most other times.

Will I be asked to give money? Absolutely not! We are glad you are here and do not want to do anything that would distract you from your focus on what God has for you while you are visiting. Many of our members and regular attendees do give to the work of the church as a cheerful offering to the Lord, and they are given the opportunity to place their offering in the plate on the table in the back of the church. But please, in no way should you feel obliged to do so.

Will I feel awkward? Meeting someone new can feel awkward for anyone. It is our sincere hope that you will find our church to be very friendly and welcoming. We are just a group of everyday people who are together because of our love for Christ. We are in no way perfect, but we try to grow every day in our walk with Him. We sincerely want you to know how amazing Jesus Christ is, how He died for your sins and ours, and how He offers to us the forgiveness of sins, fellowship with Him today, and eternal life with Him in the future through the work He has accomplished on the Cross. That is what we are about. We want you to feel welcome to come learn about Him in this safe place. We want to be here for you as you are learning about Jesus.
